I just qualified to the Sunday Hundred Grand, $15 MTT from a $2.50 satellite, and wondering if anyone here has any experience playing this presumably weekly tournament? I seem to recall one poker blog on the forum who talks about playing these tournaments and using the staking option to sell a piece of himself and effectively play for free or next to nothing at the expense of half his prize should he end up ITM.
I don't play GG MTTs higher than the $5.40, even that's a rarity, preferring to stick to $2 and under. I played the Mystery Bounty recently, but that's no fair comparison to this Sunday MTT. Events like the Bounty Millions or its vanilla equivalent, are just annual things (or just happen once every few months) with massive fields and full of recs who don't normally play such a higher stake but will play those because they are just one offs, or have massive prizes like the mystery chests with $70k in them.
So, anyone care to tell me what I can expect in terms of the competition compared to the territory in which I am more familiar. Again, that blog I recall the author says they play micro and want to move to the lows, so they're going to have just the knowledge I'm looking for, being a regular in both π
