Hi guys,
I had 2 cases of that today:
case 1, I open AKs. I raise,
a villain OOP calls after a limp (no information on villain),
the flop comes, I have 2 overcards,
I cbet and get called.
I bet the turn again and get called.
on the river, villain opens with a 35bb bet on a 23bb pot. I fold because I got ace high. I'm wondering if he limped then called a premium?
case 2: I open JJ in position, I raise, get called from the blind.
flops brings a queen and 2 small,
I cbet my jacks after a check and get called.
the turn gets in, a card under my jacks (no realised straight or flush but possible draws), but villain opens with a bet 1.5 times the size of the pot.
I have second pair with poor opportunity for improving so I fold.
Again, no information on villain
My questions are related to the fact that I think one of my main leaks is that I fold too easily without a very strong hand. Also, as I play in NL2, I don't know if villains are good enough (most of them) to do check reraises and such
Another hand that I'm pretty sure I misplay is AQ in CO or BU. quite regurlarly, I get 3 bet from blinds or button. I usually call the 3bet to try to catch the flop but I don't know if I should 4bet. Once on the flop, especially if I haven't caught anything, I'm not sure how to play the hand as I'm not the preglop aggressor. I usually contibet but then fold to more aggression.
I'm quite wary of playing aggressively hands like AK or AQ/AJ if I didn't catch the flop because like everybody in this forum, I have PTSD of that situation. Should I bet all streets until I meet some resistance?
Again, my stats for WWSD tells me I fold easily to aggression
