Hello, I have a interesting hand I would like to share I played in a live multi-day MTT.
9-table, blinds 500-1000 + 1000 ante posted by the BB
Hero with 95000 chips in the HJ seat, looks at J♥:J♠: and raises to 2100
CO calls, has behind him 48000 chips
BTN also calls, also 95000 ish stack
SB folds
The BB with a stack of almost 300k squeezes for 12000. This is a loose reg that not necessarily has a super premium. I don't have a clue though about his squeezing range. It could be TT AJs type of range, maybe 99.
Hero calls, as well as CO and BTN.
Flop (49500): 2♦:3♦: 5♥:
BB bets 25000
I was in a really weird spot here. At the end I shoved my 83000 stack into the 75000 pot.
The CO shoves his remaining 36000 stack and BTN folds.
BB calls with KK, CO shows 44.
CO actually improved to a straight by the end, I busted. Came Q 6
I thought about this hand quite a lot after.
I really couldn't just fold on the flop, but I could have folded the 25000 flop bet.
The BB betting 25000 into 3 players is very strong, and thinking about it calmly, would he do that with AK-AQ? I'm only beating TT here it seems.
I didn't want to just call the 25000 bet, it would leave me with 58000 chips with the pot being 100,000, and with the chance of next players making a move, which the CO actually did.
At the end I should have folded on the flop.
Or min 4-bet preflop to 22000, only to fold to a 5-bet.
In case the BB had just called my preflop 4-bet, he could have folded to my aggression on the turn when the Q fell on the river, representing AA or QQ.
This could be wishful thinking though.
Curious to hear what would you do, and what could be the better play.
Thanks.
