[Closed] NL50 QQ overpair

Opponent calls me pre-flop, calls flop and practically min-raises turn. His play just screams set or 2pair, either one has me beat. Since we were relatively deepstacked, I figured it wasn't worth paying to see a most likely better hand.

I thought about checking the turn, but he could have picked up a backdoor flush draw, or maybe he's some wacko playing QT, T8 or even 87, but my main concern was an ace or king on the river, so I went for a bet-bet-check/call a small bet line.

Since it sucks being c/r on the turn I think you can also go to pot control and check back turn, call river bet
if you´re going to bet, then b/f is ok, although I´d likely call small c/r and see what he does river, sometimes considering calling shove, since he could easily have there AJ and raise for value which he won´t bet again on the river

I think you mixed it up a little. I'm out of position here.


at that case, b/f turn is likely better.
Don´t expect to make so many moves on that board with hands that ahve showdown.
