Your hand is strong enough for a standard raise. There is no way slowplaying it here PF as you prefer a HU flop situation.

I think you played it right until the river.
Calling the raise is EV-. Your overpair is at least beat by a boat, but most of the time, by a straight.

I have second nut str8, not just an overpair against a guy who is on the heater

Well, 2nd nut is always a very hard hand to play.
Obviously, you cannot go broke with it. You won't get paid by a worse hand if you shove.

The only choice is call or lay it down.
Honestly, I'm not experienced enough to give you the right move. I would call like you, but this not an advice from an experienced player.

it's oponent dependant on the river: if he is just raising straights (like a lot of passive donks on plo25) then b/f is better than bet/call.

against unknown I'd bet/fold river, wouldn't bet the turn either.
