Hi, I'm Chris I'm from Adelaide in South Australia. I have never done a blog before so hopefully this will be interesting and worthwhile reading. First of all I'm a uni student in my 5th year, first 4 years I did Nanotech with honours and now I am completing a bachelor of innovation and enterprise.
I started playing poker a few years ago with some mates but had no idea what I was doing until about a year ago when I signed up with this site. I started with the $50 capital playing SSS but go bored pretty quick so I switched to SnGs. After a couple of months I had a small downswing so I cashed out my winnings and took a break for a while. After a few months of not playing something inspired me to get back into it so I deposited $600 into Full Tilt (get the max deposit bonus). I then found the super turbos extremely soft and kind of addictive so I stuck with them and build my BR to about $5600. I cashed out $600 and since then I have been running terribly, down about $1200 (including about $500 rakeback so really I'm even worse than that). To add to that I am now bored (or frustrated) with super turbos, there are only so suckouts that I can handle per day. So, I've decided to cashout $3000 and start with regular turbo tournaments.
Goals:
- Reread all of the SnG articles
- Play at least 200 games at each limit to ensure I am actually beating it
- Buy HEM to track results
- Use 60-80BI BRM for each limit
- Post questionable hands in the judging section
- Rebuild to $5000 and then $10,000
- Mix in some MTTs, hopefully the $750K gauranteed
Finally, if the traffic isn't high enough I might even withdraw some of my BR and move it to Stars. Thanks for reading and I hopefully I will remember to update this regularly.
-Chris
