Goodafternoon everyone!
15 minutes until the start of the WPT Marrakech Main Event.
So everyone has been asking me, how is Marrakech?
And you know, not that I would ever want to live here, but I do like it here.
Things are a little bit crazy though.
Remember I compared London traffic to Barcelona traffic.
Here the rules are pretty simple. You can drive, ride walk wherever you want, and just try not to hit anyone or to get hit by anything.
Special rule: If you're a taxi driver you have to honk the horn at least once every 10 seconds.
In Marrakech, you have to discuss prices everywhere. If you don't do this you will get ripped off pretty bad.
The trick is to say a ridiculously low price and then act like you're unhappy, but willing to settle for a normal price.
Of course they do the same thing but then the other way around so whoever names a price first is basically the winner.
Which means if you have no idea what something is worth, then you're in trouble. Pretty smart system, but I think I'm to friendly for this.
When you exit the casino at night children will hump your leg trying to sell a plastic rose for 1 dirham (0.09c).
If they don't get anything they run back to their mother who then starts to shout at either her child or at you.
I think Belgium, or Germany is a very good place to be born. ![]()
That's it for now.
See you in 15 minutes.
