[Closed] 88 - 3bet/calldown flop?

Well, the raise flop to cbet value is rather high but we still don't know what he is doing it with.
Is "17" the WTS?

In this spot it might be overcards or a toppair/overpair.

Most often I don't see him doing it with overcards. You 3-betted preflop and he doesn't have any fold equity on this board against your range and will often face a 3bet. I would suspect it to be a raise to induce a 3bet to either cap the flop or raise the turn to a bet. And taking his WTS into consideration I think he is playing pretty straight (fast) forward which means he holds a made hand very often when raising the flop.

If the 17 value is the WTS, I would call the turn with the intention to donk good cards like K/A on the river, c/r an 8 and fold to other cards. This player seems to be able to lay down a T to a donk on a scare card.

But it's hard to judge without reads. His stats look a little strange.

Against an unknown player I would play this hand like you did.

Hi drcolloso, the WTS was 37, my mistake.

I have a note of this player. Few hands before he raise the flop 664 vs 2 players with AJ, bet the turn with a K (vs 1 player) and bet the river again with a 4.

That's why I 3bet the flop. What do you think?

Why not just let him bluff his money away then and just call him down?

I think the problem with 3-betting here is he has a LOT of T's in his range, probably so much so that if he's doing this with AQo/AJo/AJs as well we simply don't have the equity to 3-bet here for value.

Usually the times where we suspect someone is bluffing often and we have a showdownable hand we want to get there while putting in as few bets as possible.
