I started playing poker when I registered here so maybe 2 weeks ago and I have now made a top 3 on a 5$ MTT and won some decent money on cash games!
I've learnt a lot by reading the forum and all the articles available so I just wanna say thank you and Hello!

Cool! I'm from Sweden actually but moved to Malaysia about a year ago. I stay in Kuala Lumpur but goes to cyberjaya/putrajaya frequently! 
Would you know if there are any poker clubs in Selangor? Would be fun to play some live games.

i think there are some in the Damansara/Tropicana area. But due to the illegal nature of the game, they are naturally quite secretive.

you can check it out at their website. unfortunately i won't be around at that time, if not will sure try my luck again. It's a mega donk fest. and the blinds go up super fast too. (sometimes more than 1 level per orbit)

i can't make it unfortunately, attended one sometime last year.
You should really register early, slots fill up quickly.
The structure is pretty horrible. Blinds go up every 25 mins, and pretty much double at each level. You'll be playing with less than 10BB for most of the time, so its like a super turbo more than anything.
Expect to also have blinds going up twice per orbit. The players are very bad, and quite slow. Dealers are pretty clueless too half the time. Don't know if things are still like that, but hopefully they've improved.
