I raised flop because of the two diamonds on the board. Should I just have played call flop raise turn?

i would play it the same because it would be very hard to raise the turn if the diamond comes up

i would call the flop and raise the turn to let draws pay the maximum. and i would raise this turn too. he could have donked a straight draw, a 8 or a weaker A
