I was scared he had a set, how would you have played the turn and river?

Check/raise the flop and maybe even cap it. If they just call the check/raise bet the turn as you did and even 3-bet here. AK is way ore likely than KK so you gain a lot with the 3rd player in there.
If capped on the turn then check/call the river else bet call it.
If it was capped on the flop just bet the turn and calldown to a raise. With the flop action an overpair is more likely and QQ wouldn't raise anymore.

Sorry for the whole if/then/else sentences. But this way you have a plan for every situation.
