The #1 rule before playing poker is:

DO NOT DRINK.

Last night I donked off my entire bank roll after having some drinks, using the "one buy-in" bank roll management system. Because of how much fun it was I decided to deposit everything I cashed out and do it again.

Most of you are probably thinking "Your an idiot" right about now. Well i'm not an idiot when im sober.

All my poker sites are now put into a folder called "DO NOT TOUCH IF DRINKING" lol, I advise some of you to do the same.

Somehow I woke up with 6$ left, so i played about 1.5k hands with that this morning, and im now up to 25$. ~hopefully in a week or so ill be back up to around 600$, by adding bonuses and referals to my bank roll.

Learn from my mistakes! Don't do it!

When drunk play for play chips a variant of poker you have no idea of playing... it's a lot more fun and gives you less headaches the following days. ♠_cool:

if ihufa's idea doesnt work, u could always try self exclusion.
Party, ft (and i think stars) allows u to selfexclude your self from the tables for x amount of hours/day/months.

my stars account is set to self exclude me from any game above NL25... i also cant play any sng above $3.40 or any MTT above $1...

if u really want to play poker when drunk, have an account setup separate to your main roll and donk around on that... hence why i have a partypoker account LOL

I agree with amplifyd - losing money is only a problem when you are half drunk. when you find yourself in this state keep drinking until you cant see the keyboard and you wont have a problem.

I played some NL10 Rush poker on FT after a few drinks, and found that my style had evolved from TAG to lunatic LAG. Went from $10 buyin to $40 before my wife told me to stop!

Playing drunk is fun, just play micros (or nanos) instead. Even when wasted I still had enough self control to not go and lose very much $, I just had a lot of fun losing an awful lot of BB's.

Personally I think anyone who can't control themselves enough whilst drunk to realise that roll-stacking and redepositing was a bad Idea stands very little chance from abiding by this "don't play drunk" rule in the first place. I suggest an alternative!

Rule #1 Don't go near you computer when wasted, go to bed instead!

Played a few 3$ SnG's last night after a party. and won 2 1st place and 1 2nd place. haha just proved to myself that you cant keep waiting on that premium hand. gotta have some aggression and sticking to what u think your opponent's hole cards are. this will greatly increase your win rates on tournaments. =|
