He should have folded preflop, since you have to fold Pockets 8´s after a raise behind you.

As played he could hold a 6, a Full House (slowplaying a Set on the Flop) or an Overpair, so yes good fold. But you wouldn´t be in that situation if you would have folded correctly preflop.

but why fold - because he is out of position ?

I mean that maybe it was better to either raise pre-flop (even though you're still out of position) or just fold indeed.
Coz raising on the flop without actually havign raised pre-flop would either mean a bluff to the opponent or that you have a top pair or sth. In general - doesn't make a good impression.

Call Flop, Raise the Turn in a HU Situation here often means a 6 who became trips on the turn or a Set slowplayed on the Flop IP. But he shouldn´t have be called preflop in the first place.
