He was 15/9/1200 hands / AF2 / 3bet 2% / winning player

I called on flop and turn with an idea that he may have 88-JJ or FD and as he is not very aggressive, he will not shove on river if he does not hit. If he has a set, he will keep barreling and I fold on turn or river.

But I end up investing 95$ in the hand where I have to fold on river.

What shall I do here? It is so unpleasant OOP to face raise on low board. Folding on flop is probably right against this opponent but it looks so weak. And on turn I don´t know anything more about his hand if he keeps barreling. It is still either (i) set going for value or (ii) weaker hands like smaller overpair or FD.

On river it is still guessing game if he shoves.

but u didnt fold on turn.

If u think he wil lraise overpairs on flop here i thiunk its better to donk turn while he could ch beh it and also cos we will have no info about his range. But i mostly just fold flop vs this nitty guy
Why dont you show his raise cbet stat?

I'd just fold on the flop vs him.
Imo he's unlikely to raise 88-JJ and even FDs since our range for opening and cbetting this board is so strong (he has a lot of PPs in his range so we don't cbet as much air).

If you don't want to fold there are only 2 possibilities:
3bet flop or call flop - lead turn.
Everything else results in giving him free cards and/or cheap showdowns (i.e. we lose a lot of value).
In case I want to continue I prefer to 3bet the flop because there are a lot of cards we don't want to see on the turn and additionally a raise looks weaker than a call because we'd 3bet FDs and bluffs instead of floating OOP.

And from which point you start 3betting? I would say Af more than 3 and raise flop at least 15% (preferably 20%).

Thx

I would never make a decision like this based on 2 stats.
It's more about a) the opponent is capable of making such a move as a bluff or not and b) he has to have hands in his range that he can turn into a bluff like this.

Example: You have an opponent who rarely calls openraises, and if he does it, then only with good hands like TT+,AQ+ and only IP.
He might easily have a raise-cbet% of 25 because he has very strong hands most of the time but he is neither very aggressive nor necessarily very tight - he just doesn't call too many openraises.

This is a bad spot for him to bluffraise, so unless I saw him raising in a spot like this 2 or 3 times I'd just muck.
