It is very possible to win at any site you play at. There is just ONE single thing you have to know about poker when it comes to winning. This is a lifetime GRIND!! Over the long run if you decide to become a professional and you actually are good at the game results WILL come. So called bad beat periods and what not can last extremely long, all you need to focus on is making the right decisions each and every time. Day/Week/Month maybe even yearly results is not what you should focus on. How you play is all you can control and is all you should be worried about. Mental game is the key to success in poker. Every time you go on monkeytilt you not only loose the cash you invested there and then put you may also lose alot of profit if you had played to the best of your abilities.

so like, if nobody wins, where does all the money go?

If you're consistently losing money over a very large sample size of hands/tourneys, you're a donk, and there's no way around that fact.

Are you still a donk if,

fi make money on cash games, sit-n-go's, and seldomly win mtt's, but still manage to piss my bankroll away after loosing 3 buy-ins by playing 100$ heads up on tilt.

It is possible to win money, and there's no cake recipe you've got to be constant learning.

I don't know about poker stars, but at party poker rake is so high in SNGs on lower limits, it is hard to make a profit. Maybe you shuold think about changing the site?

Or maybe it's becuase your playing all sorts of games? You should perhaps focus on one game and its according strategy, makes it easier to learn. Also, if you play SNGs, the strategy articles make up only a low portion of your winnings/losses, most money is lost in the final stage. So get the ICM trainer:) be aware though, that ICM modelling only works if your opponent plays accordingly. So you'll always have to ask yourself"what cards would my opponent push/call here" and change your own range accordingly. Also, the starting hands charts and other strategy articles are not the answer to all poker problems. If you face a good player, who shows a lot of aggression, it's maybe a good idea to fold your A :diamond:A on a T :heart:J :heart:Q flop

btw: how many games have you played so far?

lol. I don't know, maybe those players putting 1k+ at a single table were just bored of flushing the money in the toilet or something.
