Am I right to let this go? Seems like I am too afraid to call big bets nowadays.

Pre-flop seems like an optimistic open without any info of the players in the blind. Also without any though process post-flop it’s not easy to give good feedback on this hand, but I think the fold on the river isn’t bad with the flush that he could have.
