Sadly Equilab is no long being developed.
There is Power Equilab which I believe is still supported. If you take advantage of their 14-day free trial, you could suggest that to the developers directly.
As an alternative, you could use something like https://darkmodeanyapp.com/ which claims to be able to emulate dark mode. I haven't tried this, but it's intriguing. If you have tried it, let me know how it worked.
