Losing streaks

We recently had a casino open in my town. Texas Hold'em is the game I play. I am usually at a 1/3 table and my stake is usually $400. For two months I have consistently won, not large amounts but a couple hundred here and a couple of hundred there.

About three weeks ago everything seemed to just go bad. My strategy is reasonably conservative and I try to avoid large pots. Having said all of this I have almost been forced into larger pots than I would like because of good hands that have turned out to be second best. Almost everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

How do you folks handle losing streaks both financially and psychologically. Only yesterday I was dealt pockets Aces three times in a four hour stint....lost large pots with all of them..............any advice or criticism is welcomed. Thank you...........Randy

Hi Baitshack112,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

Do you play against the same group of people all the time? Perhaps they've learned your habits.

Any discussion of winning or losing streaks needs a look at the poker variance calculator.
https://www.primedope.com/poker-variance-calculator/
When you first follow that link you see 20 simulations of 100,000 hands (I think) at a nominal winrate of 10BB/100
Pay careful attention to the top and bottom runs.

Wow
