Hi, I thought to write here what I learnt from playing few months on stars NL2 and NL5. I am writing some questions and my attempt at answering them. Any feedback is appreciated
1) I 2bet preflop and Villain (V) calls IP. We both have 100BB. The flop is something like 2s 7h 8h. V checks, I bet half pot or more and V raises. What is V range?
Spoiler
In my experience V has almost always a set here. I would fold TPTK and overpairs. This is particularly true if V is a reg. The only exception is if V is aggressive or maniac. I think that people tend to play very passively any draw at small limits.
2) Do you go all in with AK preflop?
Spoiler
I happily 3 and 4bet with AK but I fold to an all-in normally. I feel that 10 years ago preflop ranges were much wider. I would happily push AK and JJ+ and find a lot of random hands.
3) Is zoom play less profitable than regular tables?
Spoiler
My guess is yes. At the very least it is hard to pick up info and stats. Nevertheless I see a lot of videos on zoom tables now. The question is if playing a lot more hands per hour compensate. I have not reached a conclusion on that. I now play 3-4 normal tables or 1 regular table and one zoom.
4) I feel I can play decently when I am the aggressor, but I struggle to play when cold calling (except with small poket pairs). Do you please have any advice or reference for that?
5) What is a good win rate for NL2, NL5 and NL10 that allows you to say that you confortably beat each of the limits?
6) I remember about 10 years ago TPTK was enough to push V all in profitably but now it is not the case anymore.
7) Would anybody be happy to have a look at my (relatively small) database and find any obvoius leak?
Thanks in advance and have a great day! ♠_thumbsup:
