So this has trickled down to my limit.

Is there any reason for not having it always enabled if you want to lower variance?

Hey Jules!

I'm a fish, but here I go anyway.

Is it really lowering variance? Lets say you get it in w/ AA vs a FD. You are giving the draw an extra card to take down half the pot.
But the other way around it's nice of course! Maybe you should enable it when you are drawing to something?

it's gonna even out in the long run so ur just reducing variance by having it turned on.

You reach the AI long run faster when you run it twice and also swing less..

@RasTweet: with your example if you win the whole pot you are >EV by quite a bit so splitting it is way closer to your EV. >EV is variance too, not just <EV

Definitely makes sense. It`s not the same thing running the 1st time, reshuffle and run the 2nd time, and running twice with no reshuffle. I think equity will change slightly, but I don`t think it will have a huge effect.

is the rake double or is it the same as running it once?

Maybe you don't want it enabled vs fish? Variance is the only reason they play.

I don't even know how it works, do both parties need to have it on in order for it to run it twice?
