I'd analyze this hand from the perspective of your perceived range. I.e., what do you represent. If i was in the shoes of the CO, then, when you raise turn, after having called the flop 3-bet, I'd put you on

• overpairs (much discounted - why not cap the flop)
• sets, now full houses (slightly discounted - again, why not cap flop?)
• Tx (makes very much sense)
• straights (discounted, 3-betting J8 is very loose - yet again, why not cap flop)

He still doesn't hesitate to 3-bet you. Now think about his range.

Due to his high percentage of PReflopraise, i'd consider him to have 68 as well as J8 in his range. T9 T7 might be as well part of his range. 77 99 is quite obvious in his range. So after you did raise again he should recgonze that he's at least up against Tx+. He seems to be quite aggressive so he might just play his hand and 3bet T8 T6 JT QT KT but if you compare these combinations with all the combinations that have you beat => you'Ll figure that you're 3betting on his behalf.

Numerically the hands you're behind against dominate the hands you're beating. WIth a read that he's going crazy with irrational hands like QQ KK AA J9 or some ilegitimate hands, your play is ok but without having that read you'd count a range thats somewhat reasonable. Especially when your hand is face up. AFter the 3bet it's just a calldown. I know that at the beginning Trips with top Kicker looks quite strong but by the time you'll find out that if 2 Straights are possible withe the full amount of 32 combos, the worse hands hardly catch up those better. Thats a typical situation for it.

Lets say you play against MP3 and he openraises and you 3bet out of the SB with AA. THe Flop comes AKT and turn is a blank and you bet twice and he raises the Turn. Impulsively you might be tempted to 3bet but its actually just bet/calldown due to QJ and due to the fact that you block a lot of good 2pairs. Its way more a 3bet with just TT although it might be counterintuitive first.

I have some Questions.
1) If we don't upgrade to trips. Do we have plan Raise Turn or only cd on blank?
2) if only cd with TPTK. Our trips don't beat a lot of his range than our TP. So why do we raise trips and don't TPT?

1) if we don't hit our trips, our hand is way too weak of too often being behind against an overpair that we proceed by just calling down

2) the big difference is apparently that if the turn would be 2x, we don't beat any of his overpairs but since we have trips now, we beat all his overpairs and we just have to worry about a fullhouse - which is quite unlikely.

...but he's the maniac and he don't have any Op in my opinion too often. Player like this don't slow pre flop with JJ+. So he has in his range streights(J8, 86), sets 77 may be 99, 2 pairs T9,t7,97 and Tx sometimes spew play 8x or second pairs. So in my opinion trips and TPTk (AT when hit blank) have the same power in this spot.

if he is a maniac you can just go for cap cap cap!
