Should I play it differently?

I'm not a limit player, but I would most likely barrel again on the turn with the straight draw and no showdown value.
It's also interesting to know what you're though process was during the hand.

Very often in heads-up FLHE it goes unraised to flop. Then I have option, whether to bet it or not. In the past I used to bet more, but recently I have changed my style towards betting the flop only if I have something (at least a gutshot draw or better). This is because I realize people like to play back at these spots a lot as they are very suspicious to these bets.

So here I have a very good OESD straight draw, so even if I get raised, I have good odds to continue. So I bet to take it down and he raises. At this point I assume against this player that he has pair+ at this spot. He is also a type of player that has very high WTSD, so it is not so easy to get him off anything after he has decided to re-bluff or whatever. Like, if he has decided to rebluff with QT or something, he wouldn't fold that even. So I assume after his flop raise I have very little or no fold equity vs him, and - if I try to rebluff he might rerebluff easily forcing me to do a horrible fold.

So I'm just check-calling the turn after his flop raise and giving up unimproved. If I hit 7 or 4 on river, 7 I would call probably, 4 i might fold. His play is just ridiculously bad right, but he made the same misread like me, putting the other person on pair+. Like, if he loses even vs 7 hi playing vs me... I started to laugh. He has developed some kind of 49/22 VPIP PFR style that is not bringing him profit.
