I think I played this fine but want some opinions.
Bet turn again? Not two worried about the flushdraw. Decided to pot control.
River is good and i go for 1/3. PP's are calling this often right?
Check-raise river? Check-call? Or bet-fold like I did?

The problem with playing vs short stacks is that you have no implied odds -- but they do.

Your betting pattern appears to indicate that you're giving up on the hand, so naturally, villain tries to rep one.

One of the goals of pot control is that you want to get to showdown cheaply, so when you get there, perhaps the best play is to check back and see your cheap showdown.

I'm really curious to hear what others have to say here.

All-in-all though, I think the river fold it wise...

All the best,
VS

How do you want to x/c or x/r IP lol ? =)
I like it as played but checking back on the river would have been great too as the value is marginal indeed.

Is villain a fish? Or do some regs L/C in EP these days?

I check back the turn too.

I think I check the river against most people, but it's really close, maybe I'd bet ~12bb to polarise so he can call with low pairs.

As played, when he raises the river, I call. You'll see enough random shit here in my opinion. I mean, what's he repping? 44? or Kx that suddenly changed its mind?

Indeed, I wrote this yesterday before going to bed and I forgot about what position means
I know is value is thin, but isn't it about the same to check-behind and bet small?
Obviously by betting you let villain act again and get end up like this, but I still think he can call with 66-99.

Villain is unknown, but is probably a fish. Do you think he calls a bigger bet with lower PP's?
The reason I folded this is because a check-raise from a player like this usually means we are beat.

Yeah I said it should be close between both lines it's hard to tell.
I don't really fancy calling a shove as played though. He probably has something more than a bluff, let's believe him.

You're probably right about folding actually.

Maybe it is better to make that small barrel on the turn though, then there's a few gutshots to get value from in addition to the low pairs. That probably makes the bet better.

A second barrel would be thin as heck, come on, we only have Tx here, pot control is totally fine.
