PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 42 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 4)
CO: 220.4 BB (VPIP: 26.17, PFR: 17.45, 3Bet Preflop: 6.45, Hands: 151)
BTN: 104.6 BB (VPIP: 16.74, PFR: 13.95, 3Bet Preflop: 5.00, Hands: 219)
Hero (SB): 149.6 BB
BB: 101.4 BB (VPIP: 14.63, PFR: 14.63, 3Bet Preflop: 9.38, Hands: 83)
UTG: 215.4 BB (VPIP: 25.58, PFR: 23.26, 3Bet Preflop: 6.67, Hands: 88)

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 6♦ 6♣

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.4 BB, BB calls 1.4 BB

Flop: (4.8 BB, 2 players) 6♥ A♦ Q♣
Hero bets 3 BB, BB calls 3 BB

Turn: (10.8 BB, 2 players) 2♥
Hero bets 7 BB, BB calls 7 BB

River: (24.8 BB, 2 players) 7♥
Hero bets 15.8 BB, BB raises to 89 BB and is all-in, fold

BB wins 54 BB

The river fold here in my opinion was a big mistake. He cant really rep any better hands besides some thing like AhXh. Any other thoughts?

BB seems like a decent player. Good fold imo.

You've said it yourself

Wouldnt he have 3 bet AA, QQ?. Cant see him getting through the flop and turn with 77.

We can't call the shove OTR. He might have the goods indeed.

You triple barrel and he shoves man.
This is a rare line, you made the right decision. Wouldn't overthink it.

Cause you give him a hell of a price he can call wide and play IP.

It is good to check how much BB is folding vs SB. When is he folding over 62.5%, you can just raise by 2.5 bb because you risk 2.5bb to win 4 bb (2.5/4) = 62.5%. You do need a bit of a sample here though.

Probably a spot you want to check call to avoid getting raised off your eq otr imo. I would also open 3x from the sb without reads.

And opening for 2BB at mid stakes and higher is reasonable?

It is actually very good fold OP. People are not bluffing in this spot often enough. He will just have flush more often than bluff. And MAYBE he can even have higher sets. He never has two pair if he is not absolute complete crazy DONK - overall less probable.

But that is not an explenation, or is it? We give this way a "hell fo a price he can call wide and play IP" works same at higher stakes as in here at microstakes. So why should we open 3bb at microstakes vs. 2bb at higher stakes is fine for some reason ?!
