85s at BB BvsB

Your defend is loose with 85s. If I would bluff I would continue to barrel on the turn as well.Not sure what you try to represent with checking the turn and betting the river.

I am trying to represent a small pair that did not go for a double barrel vs pfr (because pfr might be trapping for example), but went for a small thin valuebet on the river after he checks again, to make him fold all non-pair hands.

yea so the question is, how much is it a level war vs this opponent, or just bet big on flop and even bigger on turn.

I think a bigger bet on the flop to like 3BB might have taken it down there and then.

Some of the players depending on how aware they are might consider that you are weak if you don't play the Turn. So when you bet the River might make them obvious for them that you are bluffing. You might get called by A high and maybe some under pairs as well. Bottom line, bet the Turn.

I was literally trying to represent a weak made hand which wants to keep the pot small. A weak hand still beats nothing, and I did not see him doing anything about it oop. Mostly, these kind of river bets are some kind of pair in fastfold, that is what he is used to. Usually, they just elect to fold nothings. Some players will pound on this weakness, but not that many yet.
