Yep.
When bluffing one should imagine a having hand that you want villain to believe you actually have. If the actual betting doesn't match the betting you'd use if you really had the hand you try to represent, then a bluff is likely to fail.

The other side of the coin is that an unexpected nut hand on the river should be bet BIG.

Bet much smaller on the flop. You can generally get stuff like J high to fold with a 1/3rd range bet OTF.
