I dont think he is betting the river, unless he beats us.

He is betting the river with all his range most probably. Depends on the opponent. a 6 would bet, 89 would bet. a lower 7 would bet for value. he would also bet hands that beat us like 88-JJ and a K. he most likely doesnt have a K and we have to be good about 33% when he bets pot. If we bet we will certainly not get called by worse so i prefer ch/calling.

Two different thoughts:

1. I don't think a 48/0/0.2 is very likely to throw a bluff at us in a vacuum, so I usually prefer to bet for value myself on that river K that makes it pretty unlikely for either of us to have it, and thus more likely for the fish to cling to some worse pair to the end. I'd likely bet a bit less like $2.2 to ensure he doesn't have extra incentive to find a fold tho, since his calling range that we beat has to be very weak.

2. That said, I don't think that this guy will valuebet thin at all on the river either, so you can forget about him betting stuff like 88-JJ/7x, it's not gonna happen. Which means his betting range on the river is going to be polarized between Kx+ and completely airballs, which makes it a lot easier for us to bluff-catch provided he ever bluffs at all.
