I don't like this hand. Should i c-bet the flop, or check/fold - check/call is the worst play here i think.

CO's calling range will have plenty of AQ, AJ, AT, KJ, KQ, QJ and even AK type of hands. Flop hits him hard.

I can see merits for 3-bet, bet, fold as well as 3-bet, check fold. I also think that flatting every so often would be helpful to help people stop barrelling you relentlessly because they know you can flat strong hands.

Preflop I would rather call, if the BB isn't squeeze happy. As played, I agree that the board hits him quite good, but he doesn't have many monsters there, except set of Jacks. So it looks to me that we can't just give up. So, maybe we could try with check/raising? He would probably fold all his one pair hands. If he calls, we could maybe fire blank turns. Or we could maybe plan to cbet three streets if he is capable of folding something like TP?
