It feels nitty to fold but it feels like villains range is basically pair+ draw or combo draws like 98hearts.Is this turn and river line sets ? not to sure about this one at all but i dont think i can shove for value. Maybe AQhearts 3bet given villains stats so might not be in villains range

24/12/19 over 97 hands

UTG: €10.88 (108.8 bb)
MP: €13.00 (130 bb)

BTN: €10.10 (101 bb)
Hero (SB): €10.00 (100 bb)
BB: €16.23 (162.3 bb)

Hero posts SB €0.05, BB posts €0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.15) Hero has 9 7
4 folds, Hero raises to €0.30, BB calls €0.20

Flop: (€0.60, 2 players) 8 J 5
Hero bets €0.18, BB calls €0.18

Turn: (€0.96, 2 players) T
Hero checks, BB bets €0.31, Hero raises to €2.36, BB calls €2.05

These are the hands we all hate.
wHAT
BvB his range is quite wide and includes a lot of suited hands.
Even Q9s could be in there -- maybe even Q9o

I'm inclined to call.

Did you consider a blocker bet OTR, and if so, why did you reject it?

ship river, 24/12/19 wouldn't call big raise turn with just f-draw, unless it's a combo draw.
When you check you actually give him a chance to lose small with 2 pairs or even sets.

Do you think sets or 2 pairs are going for value on this board?

I'm not sure if you will get called on a rivershove with worse hands.

I think I'd b/f on the river...

When I look at it again, I also feel your cbet on the flop is too small...

Definitely I would bet more on the Flop and for sure would not x-r the Turn as villain sometimes will check behind and we will loose value from our hand. As the way you played I would for sure bet the River again, villain range should be more wider and if we do not bet the river we again will loose value from two pairs, Jx etc.

yes, bet the river yourself rather than check/call.
is this some sort of pot control line? what do you expect him to bet with? you're "confused" because you don't expect him to bet with enough worse hands on this river, and very reasonably so.

with a hand such as two pair, it's way more probable that villain will call a bet than he is to bet himself.
your straight is the weakest end, and it's unlikely that even a set will raise you when the flush completes, so you can be quite confident about being far behind their value range when you bet and get raised.

The sizing is what threw me a bit id call vs a shove but this sizing screams nutted hand that wants a call from hands like sets and straights. And the line and bet sizing is a bit of a wok in progress for me im experimenting with sizing down on some flops and working in some stronger check raises on the turn ill have to invest in something like GTO+ to check my hand selections it's all a bit on the fly atm.I did fold though and think it's likely a call so not happy with the hand.

Your line looks so strange. You raised pre, then bet about a 3rd of the pot on a kinda dry flop and then check raised the turn when 2 straights get there and then checked a wet river. What does villain give you credit for? You hoping that he is betting a set or 2 pair here.

I think river is a fold. If villain had a set or Q9 it likely goes in on the turn.
You raised the turn fairly big, when he just calls it looks like a draw plus a pair. His turn bet is also very small, I think how drawy its getting a set will bet bigger. I'm just as confused as you are.
