It's very strong hand vs their range, why not bet for value and protection. A8, K8, 66, other pairs could call, and if they fold their QJ, you win right away dodging their 6+ outs.

Agreed, and if I read the GG hand history correctly, that's what happened.

How often do you call UTG raises with low suited connectors? Your VPIP is 22 If GGPoker's stats are accurate, so you can't be doing it too often.

Much, much wider range — and according to that you should even 3Bet some of the time.
Me? I'm a nit — I'm even tighter than the old-school range, but I'm going to 3Bet more and flat-call less. For example, I'll 3Bet/Call w/ TT-QQ and AK

I would most likely bet smaller on the flop like 3bb.
I don't think your hand needs to much protection with straight and backdoor flush draw as back up.
