Turn card did not improve any of your equity so if I would floated there OTF I would probably check (except against players who have huge difference in CB flop vs CB turn). You have plenty of good rivers to pull a cheap bluff if you think you can make him fold.

I’m no fan of bluffing on NL2 and I would most likely fold the flop already without more information of our CO player.

If you want to make a move, I'd do it OTF. The reason here is because we have 2 backdoors and we do not achieve much by just calling. We can stab once more OTT (we can do it with almost any card) and we give up river. It's a strategy but we need to think about our playability. That is, QJs would be quite a good hand for semi-bluffing but 65s wouldn't.

Look at the board, none of the cards justify aggression here

I agree with Hecticus this should go into our flop bluff range the flop hits your BTN calling range and you have 2 back door draws aswell as 2 decent overs.

Bluffs are best made with hands with outs, and (in my personal opinion) hands with little showdown value. For example, J♠:T♠: would be a nice hand to bluff with here. You must also be able to represent something when you bluff.

This actual hand is not optimal, but I can imagine worse bluffs. You will get a lot of folds, especially on the river - a pair must fold. This time you were unlucky in that he actually had what you tried to represent. (By the way, the turn card isn't very scary at all.)

By comparison, floating accomplishes almost as much as a flop raise (the fear of future bets and the informational part; if he fires turn he's usually strong or is bluffing, not in between) - it is much cheaper and comes without commitment to fire turn.

But nothing is wrong with raising flop. You should do that on occasion if you raise with nuts.

We can raise flop andvbe aggressive, but we should be very cautious on turn and should know when to stop.
