MP: $15.92 (159.2 bb)
Hero (CO): $10.05 (100.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K K
UTG raises to $0.30, MP folds, Hero calls $0.30, 3 folds

Flop: ($0.75) K J 9 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.60, UTG raises to $1.70, Hero raises to $3.60, UTG raises to $8, Hero raises to $9.75 and is all-in, UTG calls $1.75

Turn: ($20.25) Q (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($20.25) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

$20.25 pot ($1.35 rake)
Final Board: K J 9 Q 2
UTG showed K J and lost (-$10.05 net)
Hero showed K K and won $18.90 ($8.85 net)

Hello,

Preflop, I call because UTG may cbet bluff alot and raise may fold out TT, JJ and isoraise to AA.
Postflop, I think this broad is drawy so, I think I need to protect my hand.
How do you think about this hand?

You mention a couple tendencies of the villain, but do you have stats we can use too?
If he is Incredibly tight, I understand the call, but I mean, he must be super-ridiculously tight. I think a 3Bet is just regular standard and didn't need to be missed.
Now, if this really really tight player is check/raising us, he must like his hand. But it could be anything in his opening range. So, if he is tight like you say, we are golden (he'll only have JJ or AK (which we were worried he'd fold to our PF3B)) So I say get it all in.

Hello JHTAN,

Preflop: 3bet for value, just cause he CBs a lot doesn't really make sense to Call. Not really a reason and rarely is a reason to set-mine KK.

Postflop: 3bet the flop a bit bigger, we want still to protect our hand in those spots. Though we ain't folding here.

Preflop: what range do you 3bet for value? and how to react VS 4bet?
Postflop: how much do you 3bet?

JHtan thats a very broad question.

It really depends on villain but as a default at 6 max we can 3bet QQ+, AK for value.

As far as the 3-bet raise on that flop goes I'd make $4 to $4.50.

As a "standard" yes however this changes based on postions/villain/table dynamics.

So for example against UTG from SB I might not go broke with QQ/AK especially if UTG is really tight.
