2 folds, MP1 raises to $0.20, Hero calls $0.20, MP3 calls $0.20, 3 folds, BB calls $0.10.

Flop: ($0.85) 8♠, Q♦, 8♥ (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 bets $0.85, Hero calls $0.85, MP3 folds, BB calls $0.85.

Turn: ($3.40) 5♣ (3 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $1.70, BB raises to $4.50, MP1 folds, Hero = ????

In hindsight, I think the standard play is to fold preflop...

As played, should I fold here, or call and (probably) check-fold on the river?

Looks like he has the 8x here or overpocket. I would consider to raise on flop & bet/fold bigger on turn but not really sure. Lets see what judges advice.

Id have re-raised min raise preflop. Tough decision on flop, either you credit an 8 or KK/AA and fold or dont and 2bet. Id be 2-betting the flop and if I got 3-bet, getting out of the pot.

As played im letting go on the turn. I smell an 8, maybe 78s.

Preflop I either 3bet or fold, based on how I see the table... with 5 players still to act I don't want to trigger a family pot with AQo by just calling.

As played the flop: raise is the best option... it's better than going to the turn with no idea where your AQ stands.

As played the turn: I think I check behind here, then call a small river bet or bet for value if it checks to me (because then I think we can rule out that someone is slowplaying an 8). But it's not a pretty situation to get in and it's caused by not raising the flop.
