Hey,
Wondering what you thought of this hand. Not sure I played it well.
Villain is 40/30 over 62 hands. WSD 57% (4/7). Cbet was 75% (3/4).
I figured he would cbet with most of his range and so called with a thought to barrel any high card that comes on the turn.
Turn: as turn pairs I figured I should just check it to him.
River: I would have thought any PP would have bet for value on this board, and thought that any Ax might call me on the river and so I could either take down the board vs his unmade hands (JT etc) or get a call from an Ace hand.
When he raised I wasn't really sure what to do. I thought he may have been thinking on the same wave as me and didn't actually have a hand but wanted to bluff me off, so called as I thought my ace might be good.
Was this thought process kind of good, or is this fishy play?
