Why do you call bet on the turn, if you're gonna fold river? Your hand doesn't have much chances to improve on the river so, either call turn call river, or fold on the turn, think ahead.

I always think it's possible that he best with Kx or Jx on the turn, but on the river only with better hands

He did min raise you on the flop, the best you can hope is if he's got KQ, but if he had KQ he would never bet the turn.

Min raise pre-flop puts him on a wide range. You have top pair with a decent kicker, plus a gutshot, so would even consider re-raising him on the flop, but definitely bet the turn (or, as played, re-raising him here). A check-call leaves the door open for him on the river.

I think your play is way wrong, but I won't argue here and wait for coach's view for this hand.

Hey MarliesB,

This is not a mandatory defend preflop. Vs one opponent it should be a fold very often. Vs 2 guys you do get slightly better odds to call, but ATo does not play that well multiway anyway.

I think flop-donk is totally fine on this texture. However you are looking to get calls, not raises. Vs MPs raise wouldn't be too bad to fold directly on the flop. Your hand is really not that strong in this specific situation.

At the very least you should be folding by the turn imo, it's just very unlikely you have the best hand after MP's flop raise.

Weazel,

as said before, do I have to call the river if I call the turn?

Speaking really generally no.

You might be playing against someone who bluffs the turn a lot but never bluffs the river. Against such an opponent of course it would be a good option to call turn but fold river.
