Fresh table and villain was very chatty, berating players for aggressive plays. (I had JJ and squeezed after a SS shove one of my first hands in. He wasn't a fan.) Just a couple hands later I pick up this hand against him. Very small sample, but was playing 40/8 and I had seen him calling PF with K7o-type hands and playing them slow after pairing up, either by C/C or small, probing bets and then slowing down. I already feel I should've raised more on the flop for protection as well as to cover the SS. Any other critiques?

I think it's fine as played. Not sure could we maybe 3bet the flop, but probably calling is fine. River is not the best card since villain will have some Kx in his range, but for the price given we have to call imo. It's not very likelly that he is bluffing with a busted flushdraw when he picked that sizing, but I still think the price is too good to fold.

When a player is AI in some situations the softwear does not give a chance to raise but just call.
I do not like the turn bet. River is a fold. Even for that price.

I would also not inflate the pot here. River is a fold to me

Yeah, the raise all-in has to be at least a min-raise or you can only call it.
So are you (and Hesticus) C/C OTT and C/F river?

To me it looks like MP3 has alot of flushdraws and maybe some TT-88, so I don't see a reason to check the turn. Sets and completed flushes are most likelly raising the flop. What would be a reason for check/calling, considering villain's range?

I do not like folding equity so I prefer to x turn on this particular board.

I don't like to inflate the pot here, but I also don't like to give villain a free river card. I think between 30 and 50% of the pot for a little protection is fine. The river I think I would call, but I don't know if that's the best play here.

I think the cbet on the flop is finde given the wide range of V.. At this point i do though wonder if the Button has us beat with a set, but more probably the btn will have a flushdraw imo. Assuming that Villain is some sort of loose passive type of player (given your stats), the bet on the turn is fine imo given the possible draws Villain could have. I would not like a re raise on the flop since i assume that the losse passive Villain will call only with better made hands or the better flush draw. On the river he has us beat by hitting that K. I assume he is either bluffing or value betting given his image. I dont think you beat him here often enough (about 22%), since he would check back his medium strong hands. Again, given his passive tendencies i donth think he wil bluff you, especially since you were the aggressor preflop, on the flop and on the turn. He has no reason to think you will fold given your line and gives you very good odds to call. All in all i think he has you beat onvthe river with either a king and a busted Flush (KQo-K6o) or an overpair with a busted flush (88-QQ).

Just a note: When someone raises AI without making a "proper minimum raise", it doesn't count as a raise. It is part of the rules of Hold'em.

As played...

River: ($25.01) K♣: (3 players, 1 is all-in)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $7, Hero folds

Results: $25.01 pot ($1.25 rake)
Final Board: 7♠: 5♠: 2♠: 7♣: K♣:
Hero mucked J♠: J♦: and lost (-$10.47 net)
MP3 showed A♠: K♠: and won $23.76 ($13.29 net)
BTN showed T♦: T♠: and lost (-$3.72 net)

Talk about an action flop. :| It was a tough call how to play the turn. Against weaker players it may be alright to check here and plan on calling because they'll check behind a good amount of the time (or not bet size properly), but I feel the better the players are as I move up stakes, the more they'll pick up on the fact that I'm repping almost this exact hand with a C/C and are going to be able to move me off of it with a B/B line. I feel that by betting turn it keeps my range wider and there are enough hands in his range that he could call with, hands like Asx, some Ksx and TT-88, as well as some random pairs with a spade that looser players can find a call here with like 6s6x.

Thanks all, as always, for your insights. _thumbsup:
