Self-criticism is a key ingredient to becoming a good poker player. I was very annoyed with my donk bet with a nuts flush draw. I wanted to build the pot with a possibility of a huge hand. I was comfortable betting 11 BB’s on the flop. But, I had no desire to invest 20 BB’s on more with this drawing hand. I was hesitant to make the bet because I knew that I would be in an uncomfortable position if I faced a Raise. Given the fact that at Preflop Button raised to 7 BB, I should have known a Raise was possible. The next time I face this scenario, I will bet 4 BB or check. At 28 % pot odds, this was a Call even if Villain had a set. But, I preferred to wait for a better opportunity before placing myself in an All In position. Any thoughts?
