SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q♠ Q♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3.4 BB, Hero raises to 9.8 BB, SB calls 6.4 BB

Flop: (19.6 BB, 2 players) 2♠ 8♣ T♠
SB checks, Hero bets 13.6 BB, SB raises to 43.6 BB, fold

SB wins 44.2 BB

When villain does this im pretty much always putting him on a set. However i was tempted to call as he may just be doing this with JJ or a draw, but probably not as often. Is folding pre-flop here okay?

Bvb, I wouldn't ever fold here.

I believe this one is very close. I don´t really see, either folding or shoving there as a mistake.

if we are going to fold vs a raise why don't we check back the flop and re-evaulate the turn.

Villain is a shortstack and he will do this not only with sets. I have seen even AQo there. He puts pressure and you have to withstand.
With your hand you can call and make a note.

I guess it is bad fold. Even villain is unknown and full stacked, he still could have AsXs. he also could have TT-QQ and sets.
I guess we are mostly flipping here, but it is 3b flop and we have a blocker for flush, easy call.

I guess he can have nut flush draws, combo draws J9s got here, top 2, sets. I don't think he is bluffing a bare spade ace. Either way, fold is not that bad I think.
If we call he is probably going to shove the turn, so I think second best option is to 3 bet the flop.
When we get it in on the flop we are almost flipping against good draws or way behind.

He can play Tx and JJ too. We are not behind that much.

Why would he play Tx this way? And villain is not short. He´s got 100BB.

I don't see him check raising Tx and not much JJ either, those might go in donk/check calling range IMO

He will shove these if shortstack.
I misread the hand sorry.
If full stack, We can fold vs the raise.

No fold here, this is 3bet pot. Against JJ,TT,88 only we are fliping (+ TPTK+FD), there is a lot dead money in pot. No fold pre-flop.

I think this is close. Probably ok to fold. On the other hand, of course his play look like a set and try to defend from a flush. But, if hitting the set here he might put hero on AK or over pair. Why rush with a raise and not wait to turn or river before the re-raise?

With that setting it might be the opposite, villain is holding Axs and goes for equity and hopes for you to fold a better hand or flipping for nutflush?
