I think he would try more to get all the money in if he had a better hand (or the same hand)? He would either check-raise the flop, check-raise the river, or bet bigger on the river? So I would call. (edited)

This smells like AQ if he actually had anything. pretty narrow handrange I know, but what else for value? J9s?

It's always interesting how we can check/raise in position Stackoffski. Idem for betting river when villain is leading out of position:f_wink:

Anyway villains line is a little bit weird with leading flop and check/call turn and lead river, but without reads I don't see a reason to blow up the pot on the flop in position with a raise and I would call with top pair top kicker. You have a decent bluff catcher and if you raise it will be tough if villains 3bets on you with in mind villain could stack off with a flush draw and 2 pair+. River it's really tough for me to fold. Villain could have AJ, but sometimes a weaker ace as well. Without reads I would make a call.

Pre flop I would say after a raise from MP and a call of the 3-bet from CO looks like TT, JJ, QQ, AK or AQs (maybe AJs)

The donk bet on the flop would be played with the Ace hands, but maybe also with one of the pairs to know where he stands.

The check on the turn is also in line with all these hands, but the call (of the very low bet size) keeps only the Ace hands in the range.

On the river, you win from AQs, you lose from AJs and you split with AK.
50/50 and you get 1 to 2, so a call.

I raise the flop, then shove turn. If he shoves over my flop raise, I snapcall, I have nuts.
My reasoning is - if he has a set, then I lose my stack anyway. If he has Ax, then I want to pump money in? And if he has a draw, I want to punish him. I do not see a reason to call OTF as more cards coming on the board make it only worse for our hand. Maybe call when having a diamond so that way less runouts hurt you. And since it is COvMP, we will have hands like AQ and AJ ourselves, so maybe you can call those. AK is literally nuts on the flop.
As played, bet bigger turn, half pot is ok. Always call river with your hand, not the best spot of course, but you have best hand you will ever have in this spot and you even beat some of his valuebets.
