888 Poker - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 100 BB (VPIP: 29.27, PFR: 19.51, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 42)
UTG: 104 BB (VPIP: 21.18, PFR: 14.71, 3Bet Preflop: 3.33, Hands: 182)
CO: 56.2 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 14.29, Hands: 12)
Hero (BTN): 113.4 BB
SB: 120.4 BB (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 8.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 12)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♠ A♥

fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.2 BB, fold, BB calls 1.2 BB

Flop: (4.8 BB, 2 players) T♥ 3♣ 3♥
BB checks, Hero bets 2.8 BB, BB raises to 8 BB, Hero ??

This raise sounds so strange for me, what kind of hand he can do this in that flop?

Slowplayed AA, KK, QQ, JJ or a semi bluf flush draw such as QJs, KQs, etc. But yeah it's weird.
EDIT: Your bet is small, it really can be anything from a set to a FD to A3, TX. Bail safely I'd say.

It’s indeed a weird line, but you can’t do much then folding I think with 2 over cards and a backdoor flush draw.

I indeed think we couldn't call the raise either. Make a note, perhaps this player is more inclined to x/r flops?

I agree that we should fold here.

What is weird?

Really?

What the hell is so weird?

This is simple. You got check-raised. You have a shit-hand. You fold.

I'd make his line with AT to see where I stand. AJ+ should fold.
I'm not ever sure if your c-bet here represents anything here (especially after 2,2bb pf) - Ax, 55-99, FD?

His c-bet represents lots of Tx hands he'd likely open on the BU, plus TT-AA which he can have since his range is uncapped. I think it's a good spot to cbet but just hasn't panned out as we'd like

Personally I think villain has spotted that this is a board that you'd cbet bluff on and decided to re-raise you based on that. He really can't rep much here besides TT and maybe A3. Since there's only a few combos there, this leaves mostly FDs in his range. I'd perhaps consider calling here since you have a backdoor + overcard + some SDV vs his busted flush draws

I'd then probably fold the turn to another barrell

I have to disagree in something: pocket pairs can raise here, we can't expect villains playing with nuts every time. So if we call we have just 12% to get an ace (against A3 we're drawing there) or a jack and the backdoor flush draw is gong to happen 3,3% of the times with an 18% to get another heart.

Not folding here is speculating and overplaying in my opinion and often I like to slightly overplay some hands but AJo makes no sense as you have not a real draw. If you'd hold AhJh I'd tell you burn some money here.

As well I have to agree on something. I have some records of regulars/decent players check raising flops with air but I usually have to see it by myself if they fold turn to a barrel or at showdown and I write it down as "OTF x/r w air or draw".

One thing nobody is proposing what a bout a small 3bet to 20BB? He's normally going to jam if he really holds the 3 or a slow played premium but that's weird.

It's an easy fold. And to make it easier you know he isn't semi-bluffing you with the nut flushdraw.
