Hand 1: I was just unsure whether to shove or check on the river. It was a scare card.
Hand 2: I run into this kind of thing more often. Those sudden random shoves. I folded there because I didn’t think it was worth the gamble. But would a call have been justified?

I think that the proper play is bet/fold — but I hate it.
I personally like the fold, but I'm sure that others won't

If you have a history on this player that tells you that they can bluff air, yeah, call.
I like the fold as well.

Pot is already so big that villain has only a half pot bet left. Bet/fold is kind of messed up with in mind you will get insane odds with any reasonable bet sizing. I would most likely check/fold as well, but is really villain depended.

Nasty over shove of the villain in this hand. Without proper reads I would fold against the almost 4 times over shove.
Villain can have a better 2 pair or flush. You beat only top pair kind of hand and random bluff.

SB vs BB you need a bigger size than you used.
For the rest, it's ok.
Well done 🙂

Agree with SKD on this one.

On hand 1 I’d probably lean check too, that river really changes things and shoving feels too thin.
On hand 2 I think your fold is fine – those random shoves at low stakes are so often value-heavy.
Calling might show profit in theory, but in practice I’d rather wait for a clearer spot.
