Typical Turn Fold for Me

One of the reasons that I like to limp marginal hands in early position is that I suspect a following player will raise and I will call up to 8 BB. There really is no reason for me to raise. Let somebody else do it. Also, I certainly don’t want to face a 3bet with QJo. But, the real reason that I posted this hand was my Turn play. Top pair, decent kicker merited a ½ pot flop bet. However, with 4 people left at the Turn, I planned on Check/Calling a modest bet. However, 30 BB turn bet was too expensive for me to call with Top Pair, decent kicker against 3 villains.

Pre-flop I would just fold QJo in a full ring table first in. I don't like limping and if you deal with a 3bet often is folding the best option for me. As played I would always check to the 3better in this case and call on a Cbet and her-evaluete the turn. Turn is a easy fold on a decent bet with only top pair multi way.

Anyway this looks like a really fishy table based on this hand and stats of the players and that for NL25.

Cheers,
SDK1987

QJo is an automatic fold for me from early positions pre-flop.
I don't get your logic that you limp and are willing to call up to 8bb. Then you have a crappy hand postflop and are quite likely out of position, which sucks. Then you lose 8bb. Raising to 3bb and folding vs a 3bet to 9bb would save you 5bb.
I'm not sure if you will get any wise feedback to that turn spot because it is a fact that you shouldn't be in that spot in the first place :)

Here I would most likely just bet again. You have a top pair and a gutshot and these villains seem to be bad.

What is open range in utg here, loose table la55i and SDK1987?

I don't play FR but I assume in this case the range could be somewhat similar to 6max opening ranges.
55+,ATs+,A5s-A2s,KTs+,QTs+,J9s+,T9s,98s,87s,76s,AJo+,KQo would be a good place to start. It is possible to open a bit wider. If we want to do that I would start by opening all AXs, then maybe add ATo and maaaybe KJo but I would still fold QJo.

I think this open range little loose maybe this table what hero played good but if the table have 2-3 or more nit, tag, rock players i don't like this range, too wider. SDK what do you think?

Usually, I only have to limp/call up to a standard 3 or 4 BB. As demonstrated in this hand, I only had to call to 3 BB. I had to establish a maximum call. So, I decided 8 BB. I could easily have decided 6 BB as my generic play. Maybe I will lower the standard. I am not married to 8 BB. I may change if it appears to be a problem. So far, generic max of 8 BB has been comfortable. Also, I like to limp/call. I seem to earn quite a few Big Blinds when the preflop aggressor misses the Flop and I hit the Flop. Go ahead tough guy, do your continuation bet. I am waiting with my boxer-like counter. QJo is my weakest starting hand. I disagree with you. Villain was very smart. He did not overplay his two pair. He gave me and other players the opportunity to call his strong but not very strong Turn bet. I smelled a problem and folded. This smelling of a trap is why this was a Typical Turn Fold for me.

srichards, I'm just curious (feel free to not answer):
How many hands do you already have there, on the site (it could be total, across all played limits)?
What is your average WR playing your strategy?

At Ignition, I have played 25,000 full ring hands at .10 and .25 limits. At .10 BB, the bb/100 is slightly more than 10. So far at .25 BB, the bb/100 is slightly less than 10. I agree with la55i that 100,000 hands are necessary to truly determine your bb/100. I am a horrible shorthanded player with 2,000 hands at -60 BB/100. So, as soon as the number of players at my table reaches 6 or less players, I immediately sit out until there are 7 or more players.

I'm no cash game player and more a FR SNG player, but from UTG+1 on a loose passive table I wouldn't raise much more than 77+ ATs+ AJo+ and KQs.
