I would have attacked this hand on the FLOP if I'd been him because it doesn't hit often with your 3bet range. I am wondering if you hadn't hit your straight on turn what you would have done? For me personally he wasn't repping much on the turn with the really big bet and NOTHING to protect against (there wasn't even a flush or anything) and like 100% equity vs bare AA here, and with your turned hand it becomes an easy 2 street all-in call down of course. If I had just had bare aces though, I don'tknow if I could have called these 2 big bets on turn and river though unless you have some sort of read that this board also misses his 3bet-calling range after opening. If you have 77 you block even more straight combos yes, but I don't think it matters much if he had one or two blockers I just think he knew this flop missed you he could have played it without blockers imo (even though the turn obviously didn't :f_biggrin:) . I think he put you on AA** and AA73 and AA79 (which you would have Cbet I think) are just tiny parts of your overal 3bet range here of course and I think he rightfully thought he was gonna get a lot of folds, unless of course as mentioned before, you also know this board doesn't hit his range either (but then it becomes more like leveling). I would have cbet rather low board and gutter / 7 blocker BD-NFD. I dont want to give free cards for him here.

I also like villain bluffing here when you show weakness, even with one 7. I dont like pot sizings, as said they make no sense as there is nothing to protect. Some fishes dont really think coherent though, just pot bet when they have good hand no matter what the board is like.

Without having observed villain to bluff on multiple occasions I am going to give him credit right away on the turn for the eight high straight and fold. A paranoia about being bluffed has crippled many aspiring players and can turn an otherwise profitable gambler into a loser. I like your play preflop and on the flop. Against loose players you should seldom do anything other than value bet but even against tougher opponents pure bluffs with cards to come are not a great idea. You should semi bluff against strong opponents but do so only when you are out of position.
