My general question is: Would you ever call in LP (CO or BU) with paired hands? (to setmine)
If so, where do you draw the line? like only broadway type paired hands AAxx/KKxx/QQxx/JJxx and fold the rest?

It's a tricky hand, where you rarely hit the nuts, but these type of hands can still play decent when you are in position?

Also, because the type of villain, earlier in the stream, that potbet flop+turn oop with overpair on a mono flop with 0% equity ottt. Then even a Th flush (or 2pair/ or a set) would pay off?

Just study starting hand charts or get a solver sub. Ofc there are also paired hands played preflop, but not solely to "setmine", usually the more and better hand components you have, the better. You want them to interact. Another thing is the differentiation between hands that rather hit a smooth equity distribution (prefer low SPR) or polarized ones (prefer high SPR).

Ah yes, and QTT6ss is basially trash, unplayablt. You don't want to hit set, you want to hit set+redraw or at least top-set. Almost impossible with that hand, also you don't want to have players behind you to join the pot. Position is more important in PLO than NLHE.

Good rule of thumb is that we never just setmine versus open. We need more components than just a pair, unless the pair is really big (like KK, that has showdown value).

Sets in general are less powerfull than in Holdem. If you get the stacks in with a dry set, you are quite often flipping versus combo draw. And the lower the set is, the higher chance there is to be against higher set.

I would concider calling something like Q♥:T♥:T♠:8♦: as one of bottom combo of TT but that has way better playability. But yeah this is also theory wise bit too wide on CO and preferably we want no gap or one gap connectivity.
