2. Villain was folding pf a lot of hands.
2. Judge

assuming this is 9 man.

It depends on just how tight the cutoff is stealing. The wider he raises and the tighter he calls a 3bet, the wider we can shove him.

Our hand is too strong to fold, I think shoving or flatting are good here. I think flatting is best unless he's super aggro post flop or we feel he's stealing wide from CO.

hi guys,
i think its a tight fold, its close, but your reads and weird 3x sizing makes me fold this, no fold equity vs 3x and you said villain is opening tight

also, like you say, stack setup close to bubble and we're still ok at 20bb-ish

i wont flat

Flatting is probably best here, TT 5 handed is a little too strong to be folding IMO.

I'd flat here and play post=flop, It depends on stats of course.

Don't get this part, why we wouldn't flat if we beat he's preflop range, and why would hil being super aggro postflop be the reason not to flat. If he's cbeting every flop there I think it's better to shove the flop than shove preflop- more value not? I mean if it happens that he has top of his range we will be busted both preflop or/and otf. Am I missing something?

I see your point. It's going to be hard to take a flop c-bet on many flops we see, let alone the turn. A lot of his hands will catch up (or appear to catch up on the flop) it's going to be hard to separate c-bet from value and I think most of the time we're going to look at stacks and fold the flop rather than shoving back.. I can see this scenario occurring regularly against a particularly aggressive player.

If you feel there are some logical flaws to this, please could point them out as it would be helpful for me to understand them :)

I don't think folding is an option, villain would have to be raising TT+ AQo+ (4.7%) in order for it to not to be a fold according to HRC.

I'm not a stt player, so I'm probably not right. I was just curious why is better to shove preflop and not flatting then raise shoving or folding to his cbett- depends on the flop texture. This other option seems best to me if he is super aggro post flop- we extract more value.

hi guys,
its shove or fold facing a raise for 20bb or less

@proky, judges don't evaluate here, this is open discussion, to create a thread for evaluation by judge you must be silver+

you say he is tight but it will help if we can know some stats, also we dont know your image. Maybe it is a fold if he is really tight or extremely passive. To be honest, i like to apply max pressure here and put him on a difficult situation, some times he has 88, some times he has AK and sometimes AA. if you double up you can easily rape the bubble and make some real $

If he seems very tight then folding is reasonable, but in practice I would need decent hand sample of him to be sure enough of his tightness. As default I am shoving this when villain uses 3bb open size as it makes our risk:reward better for shove.

If villain uses minraise then flatting start to be more reasonable play. We then have more room postflop and our shove would have weaker risk:reward. Also good side of flatting is our position and we keep his range as wide as possible.
