The hand below occurred the other day in a live MTT. Should I have just checked / shoved on the flop? I x/r enough to have a half pot bet on the turn and milk him. The poker gods had other plans 8-).
I recreated the hand online. The pot is 4000 more from the BB ante I couldn't recreate online.

UTG: §46,000 (12 bb)
MP: §80,000 (20 bb)
MP+1: §50,000 (13 bb)
CO: §260,000 (65 bb)
BU: §120,000 (30 bb)
SB: §160,000 (40 bb)
BB (Hero): §75,000 (19 bb)

Pre-Flop: (§6,000) Hero is BB with K♠ J♥
4 players fold, BTN raises to §8,000, 1 fold, Hero calls §4,000

Flop: (§18,000) 8♦ 3♠ J♣ (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets §8,000, Hero raises to §28,000, BTN calls §20,000

Turn: (§74,000) 7♥ (2 players)
Hero bets §39,000 (all-in), BTN calls §39,000

River: (§152,000) 3♦ (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: §152,000 (Rake: §0)

Showdown:
BB (Hero) shows K♠ J♥ (two pair, Jacks and Threes)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 66%, Flop: 80%, Turn: 18%, River: 0%)

BU shows 7♦ 3♣ (a full house, Threes full of Sevens)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 34%, Flop: 20%, Turn: 82%, River: 100%)

BU wins §152,000

Shove or call are probably both fine preflop. Though shove becomes way better if you know BU open extremely wide.

As played raising bit smaller on flop but doesn't matter really.

Pre-flop I would most likely shove, but that's villain depended. Flop I would raise smaller like 20k. This way you aren't committed yet. Also calling isn't to bad I think on a dry board like this.
Turn play seems standard and is the run out nasty for you.

I didn't shove pre because we already had some history of me shoving various hands and was mixing it up. I thought that I could potentially get more value in the end (since I probably dominate his hands) by calling and playing a flop because he is a quite loose caller post.
