I had the same problem. Add exception for postgresql files and hem2 files in firewall and turn uac off. Or just look for all this in hem forums. Easy to do without a hassle.

HM does not start, always same error pop-up. It was already with Windows 8. I made everything that was instructed at HM forum, deleted HM and PostgreSQL with revo, deleted postgres account and all deleted files and folder etc and downloaded and installed HM again. Tried several times. Tried again with Windows 10 2 times, still same pop-up. Can anybody give real step-by-step instructions how to get HM working ?

Please contact our support at hm2support@holdemmanager.com via mail, they may have some additional things to check and if we can't figure it out we may have to setup a teamviewer session.

I contacted HM support again and got std answers without anybody really investigating reason for that pop-up. When I requested that a teamviewer session is only way they can help me somebody finally checked information and gave decent instruction: "Did you reset the winsock adapter? This error you show is caused by an issue in the winsock adapter." I found instruction how to reset winsock adapter https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/Resetting_Network_Adapter_(Winsock_Reset)#toc_0 . After resetting it ones HM2 is now starting normally every time.
