thank you ,I read all the faq, still failure in install .
Whether the HM2 is not working well in WIN10, I saw the whole faq is to system for WIN7, acctually in my another computer of WIN7 system ,which is ok . But the WIN7 is not for me, pity
HM2 works without problems under Win 10.
But to me it seems postgresql is your problem. If you went through the FAQ you probably can answer the following questions:
- is the postgresql service running?
- can you connect to the postgresql service using pgadmin?
As long as you can't answer those 2 questions with yes HM2 will not work as it is not able to connect to the postgresql database server which is needed.
In your 1st post i read that you installed a postgresql 64 bit version? Why didn't you use the 8.4 version which is included in HM2?
I cant comment on the first picture. Never seen this in connection with a HM2 installer. Looks like you either downloaded the wrong installer or something else installed on your system is blocking the installation.
The postgresql installation is probably caused by a firewall or virusscanner, you should remove it temporarily (disabling may not be enough), then install HM2 and postgresql and then you can try installing your security software again.
Maybe try a right click on the HM2 installer. Go To Compatibility.
- Check the box Run the program in compatibility mode for
- Select Windows 7
- Check the box Run the program as Administrator
- Apply then OK
and Run again the installer.
- Also if you have an agressive antivirus you can try to disable it before installation it might help as well.

You can also install Postgresql apart from HM2 first then install HM2 without postgresql , just make sure to check wich version of Postgresql is used fist
to make sure it will be compatible with your version of HM2.
since postgresql is a Database Server and run as a windows Service i would say nop. Plus HM2 have different dependancies and registry files so i don't think.
About your problem with HM2 , check if you have a previous installation of the tool on your computer and check also for Postgres.
If so uninstall them first then run Ccleaner or any file/registry cleaner. Make sure Win10 is also up to date and try again.
Hopefully you gonna success to do it.
Kind regards,
J-C.
As OldSchoolPapa already suggested: uninstall HM2 and Postgresql,
then download and install the latest Postgresql version from www.postgresql.org. If that fails you should get a better error description which you can post here for further help.
If the Postgresql installation completes go on and install HM2 without Postgresql and connect to your already installed postgresql server.
There are no problems installiing HM2 on Win10, so its just something on your computer making the installation fail.
