Hi guys! :)

I am about to move to Belfast in the beginning of october.
Was wondering about live games in Belfast and nearby. Any good casinos? Homegames?

Thanks in advance.

I'm from Dublin.
Actually i can almost see the Citywest hotel from my house.
As most of you will know it where the Irish poker open was on for the past couple of years.
It looked savage. I can't wait untill i'm at the level where i can play in it.

As you can imagine there are loads of casinos in Dublin but i haven't played live yet.
I'm not ready to give my money awat just yet. :f_p:

I'm liking this site.
You'll usually find me on Fulltilts $1 SNGs.

Good luck all

If your looking for a decent game i.e. Buy In + Standard; there are two card rooms within 30mins of Belfast; i've only played at Red14 in Armagh it usually has a £40 Freeze Out Weekly; if u want to no more i can PM you the organisers number but i haven't been in a while and not 100% if it's still up and running as numbers were beginning to drop

The Other one; Is the 'Bridge Club' in banbridge, You can get a whole host of games there including cash games http://www.bridgeclubbanbridge.com/tournaments.html it's definately worth a shout if your interested in a good live game.

Other include the two fortune rooms, one in Bangor the Other in Cookstown, although they will require a bit more travelling. That's all i know about live poker 'near' belfast, i live in belfast during term time (still a student) and you see the odd poster about various texas hold em tournaments but no weekly games/casinos as far as im aware but you cacn keep your eyes peeled and let me no if u find any good games :)

Thanks Sabo - will check Banbridge at some point- and will let you know if I find other games nearby.
Maybe we can make a "pokerstrategy -attack" and crush the games :)

Hello everybody,

I live in Dublin and looking for someone interested in microstake cash game just for fun and experience (let's say NL10), cause playing online all the time is not really improving the live game, we can obviously learn something from each other. So if anyone is interested and lives in or near Dublin we could figure something out: find a place, maybe organize a table and start a regular game. I've got 500 chips and cards so it is actually all we need (besides chairs and players ofc)

Waiting for responses, hopefully something will start here! ;)

You should check out the tournaments held at the Digital Hub in Dublin 8 - been living there for some time myself and the IT companies are just buzzing with people playing poker ;)

Any PS Members Playing any live tournaments in Ireland any time soon?

There's a few i've been looking at, think i'm almost certainly gonna play the APAT Dublin Leg.. its around £80 Buy In So it won't break the bank, plus it'll be my first 100+ Live Field!

It's held in the Fitzwilliam as far as I know..Should be fun

Maybe a few others - Anyone got any suggestions or even just playing anywhere themselves over the coming months?

hey guys i'm in newry, near armagh sabo ;).

ain't played live except for once, but would really love to. problem is my nearest casino ( the emerald , dundalk) only really begins to get busy around 7pm, and I can't drive, which sucks balls as there are no late buses back to newry, sigh.

oh well, hopefully this will be cured soon, learning to drive atm :f_biggrin:

I was tempted to see if I could get a cash game going in a nearby pub. If i can get interest here, I might make the effort.

btw sabo the emerald has regular MTTs running. check their site for details.

Dundalk E100 is worth checking out. and of course the Irish poker open if ur rolled for it, I believe it runs in the fairways hotel normally in Dublin?
