well isn't that a sweeping generalisation. There is no optimal vpip for 6 max, rather an optimal vpip depending on opponents. If you have a bunch of 50/30 or 40/35 players then playing tighter 15/12 is actually beneficial. Put ranges into pokerstove and you'll see how different equities come from different ranges.

Its actually quite interesting and will improve your preflop game (at least it did mine). then you can take it one step further by looking at how different ranges are equity wise vs certain types of flops. the loose player for example will have a higher equity vs a nit on say a 865 rainbow flop

Yes, I agree.

But there was no talk about specific play against bunch of loose aggressive opponents. It is an average value (not even broken down by positions) and in my oppinion it is a bit too tight.

Actually EP and MP might be ok. It is good to be tighter from early positions, since people tend to 3bet wider in 6max and if regs see you are opening a wide range from UTG, they will 3bet the hell out of you.

You need to open up from CO and BTN, tho. You are not positionally avare at all...That's probably what MonaiPlox ment in his post (he was a bit rude and direct, but he wasn't wrong). Looks like you are not trying to steal blinds enough. You said you may not be good playing out of position, but form your stats, you don't seem to be very good playing in position also.

You need to 3bet more in 6max. You only 3bet 1,4% from BTN?? That's AA, KK and QQ. Not even AK. People open wider ranges in 6max, so you should be exploiting that by 3betting more in position. If any regs see your 3bet stat, they wil just fold everything except AA, KK when you 3bet and just fold everything else or they will set-mine and stack you when they hit.

Another problem is you don't let go of hands when you are beat as it's been suggested.

Basically you're playing way too tight. Unbelievably tight for 6max. And you're getting to a show down far too often.

If you're playing a small range of hands, and letting opponents see 5 cards what's going to happen? More draws hit against you because ypu let them. players know that you haven't hit due to your tight range. They know its worth trying to see a draw against you because if they hit you won't, and you also don't fold.

That's why you feel you're losing against weaker hands/fishy players but its obvious and logical based on the few facts you've shown.

Since full tilt re openned I've found pokerstars to be more fishy at the levels your playing. Full tilt is a smaller and tougher field of players.
